Mount Alvernia Academy gives all family members the unique opportunity to invest in the students of the Academy by making a tax deductible gift to the Annual Fund. Our generous culture of philanthropy annually depends on the significant and unrestricted Annual Fund contributions from Board members, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, alumni, faculty and staff, corporations, foundations, and friends to elevate our incredible school from adequate to an inspirational 2015 National Blue Ribbon School.
What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is a primary vehicle for Mount Alvernia Academy to raise the funds needed to reach the goals of the School’s operating budget. It is also one way for all members of the community to show their dedication and commitment to a Catholic school education. Annual Fund gifts, of all sizes, are a vital component in the school’s continued pursuit of academic excellence.
What does my Annual Fund gift support?
The Annual Fund serves as a source of funding to: support and enhance academic programs, upgrade and acquire new technology, support faculty and staff enrichment, maintain and improve campus facilities, and provide financial aid to families in need.
What is the goal of the Annual Fund?
Our goal is to have 100% of the parents make a gift. Your contribution is a tangible way of demonstrating your commitment to the school and a quality Catholic education.
What is the Annual Fund timeline?
In the fall each year, you will be asked to give but you can make a gift at any time. Mount Alvernia Academy’s fiscal year runs from September 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017. You can pledge now and make your gift later as long as it comes in before August 31, 2017. Many donors make a gift that coincides with the calendar year-end to capture an annual tax benefit. You can also enhance your giving be securing a matching gift from your employer.
How much should I give?
Gifts of any size can make a significant impact at Mount Alvernia Academy and we hope you will consider making the Academy a priority in your charitable giving. We ask everyone to give to their utmost capability. Participation is a vital indicator of the financial strength of the Academy to prospective families and other donors.

Gifts of cash are greatly appreciated. Make your check payable to Mount Alvernia Academy, specify the purpose of the gift, and mail to the address below.
You may pledge now and schedule payments to be made at your convenience but before the end of the fiscal year (August 31, 2017).
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs, and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer's name in the box below. Generally, employers have forms, web-based applications, or phone system in place to process the matching gift. Once you complete the form, you may include it with your check and mail it to the address below. We will do the rest to make sure your gift is matched.
