Music

The music room echoes with the voices of happy children singing.  Using the Orff Schulwerk principles of combining music, movement, drama, and speech into lessons similar to play and the Kodaly approach with its child-centered lessons based on discovery and music literacy, the students are actively involved.  They gain a love of music and develop the basic music components that advance self-confidence and lay the foundation to continue music studies.  Rich in choral music, folk literature, nursery rhymes, traditional singing games, the curriculum reinforces the spirituality of the Catholic faith.
