Years at MAA: 10 years

Why I teach: The lessons I learned as a child from Mr. Rogers about compassion, empathy, and building self-esteem inspire my teaching. This is the foundation of my classroom with the objective of helping children be confident learners and the best person possible.   

Having spent time at MAA teaching Grades 1-3, I have found my home in Grade 2. It is a privilege to watch how much growth happens during this year. Preparing the students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist is critical as they develop their faith. Supported by the families, Ms. Butler and I work collaboratively with our classes and families as the children take this monumental step into their faith.
