Tricia Tilford and Matt Janchar generously made a gift of $50,000 to MAA with a commitment of an additional $50,000 if we raise $50,000. This significant challenge gift from the Tilford/Janchar family is fueling our kick-off campaign for the Innovation Lab on the second floor of MAA's Immaculate Conception building.
What inspired them to make this challenge? "Our children ('17 and '20) have been blessed to be a part of the MAA community and receive such a wonderful education and we want to give back to the school."
The Innovation Lab will provide our students with access to a 21st-century learning environment where they can develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This adaptive, state-of-the-art lab will feature a spacious science classroom that will provide a collaborative, hands-on learning environment. The media room will be used as an extension of the classroom for presentations or it can be separated to provide a smaller meeting or gathering space for members of the community.
Each and every gift toward the challenge will bring us one step closer to opening our students' eyes to a world of learning, exploration, and discovery. Please help us meet the goal!
