I find teaching children truly rewarding because as preschool teachers we encourage the children to become independent in their daily routines.  We gently guide them on their problem solving skills while nurturing their creativity. It is so much fun to watch their excitement whenever a new topic is introduced. It could be the letter of the week, an art project or simply learning a new song. They truly enjoy their day of learning, playing, and creating. 

A special time of the day for me is story time.  Children love to be read to at this age, and they become completely absorbed in the story. Developing their literacy skills, they always have questions or ideas on how the story might end. Once finished with the story, you can always count on them to ask for one more story. As teachers at MAA, it is our responsibility to provide a safe, inclusive, and loving environment for all of our students. It is a role I love.
