The MAA Library is a dynamic hub of discovery where students develop a love of reading, strengthen literacy skills, and cultivate curiosity that extends beyond the classroom. From Nursery through Grade 6, weekly library classes provide opportunities for exploration, creativity, and critical thinking through literature. Students learn to appreciate books as both windows to new worlds and mirrors of their own experiences.
The library curriculum integrates storytelling, reading comprehension, and research with age-appropriate lessons in literacy. Each grade builds upon the last, guiding students toward independence as thoughtful, ethical readers and researchers.
Throughout the year, the library hosts a variety of special events, including the Scholastic Book Fair, Read Across America Week, and the Grade 6 Spring Musical, which celebrates creativity and performance through storytelling.
