MAA students are showing their heart this Valentine’s Day by embracing our call to service.

Led by their room parents, the First Graders and Kindergarteners are spreading some love to those in need in our local community this Valentine’s Day.

The First Graders put together hygiene kits for the homeless community during their class party today. “We wanted to encourage a conversation with the kids on how we are helping people who don’t even have the small things we take for granted on a daily basis,” said room parent Ms. Joanna Kochanski. Each kit includes socks, a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant. The class will donate the kits to the Boston Police Department who will hand them out to those in need.

As part of their Onesie Drive for Cradles to Crayons, the Kindergarteners made cards to go with each donated onesie during their Valentine’s Day party today. “It’s a great way to get them to understand that there are people who don’t have things that they need and that we can help,” said room parent Mrs.Jen Burrows.

Thank you to our Kindergarten and First Grade room parents, teachers, and students for embracing our school’s spirit of service!
