Why I Teach: I enjoy teaching children the physical and health-related components of Physical Education and watching them grow and improve their skill sets from year to year. Most of all, I enjoy teaching students how to develop their social skills, like teamwork and respect through the use of communication, cooperation, and collaboration. It is deeply gratifying to me when I see children shake hands after a competitive game and say ‘good game.’
The students demonstrate a positive attitude while exercising their bodies and using cooperation, teamwork, and leadership through team-based activities. The students gain self-confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Some of the activities are as follows: The President's Fitness Challenge, Mount Alvernia Basketball League, Cross Country League, robust after School program, and Field Day.
