Why I teach: I teach because I love sharing knowledge. In the classroom we connect to other experiences, events, and cultures. Nothing brightens my day as much as when a child lights up with the joy of learning. By exploring ideas and concepts with my students, we learn and grow together.

Grade 4 is a year of increased accountability, responsibility, and academic achievement. We read novels and write poetry. We learn about regions of the United States, and students complete the year knowing all the US states and capitals. Through everyday assignments and multi-week projects, students explore their world and broaden their horizons. Students showcase their knowledge and talents when researching and presenting at the All Saints' Day liturgy and hosting USA Day at year’s end. Working with Ms. Tobin offers the fourth graders a team that is united in its goal of reaching all children.
