WBZ Meteorologist Mr. Jacob Wycoff Visits Campus Mr. Wycoff shared how he felt called by God to become a meteorologist and reminded students that whatever they dream of is within reach when they put their full love and energy into it. He explained how meteorologists use computers, satellites, and radar to forecast the weather, busted a few myths about the field, and even showed how the green screen works on TV. Our students had so many great questions, and our school meteorologists loved sharing what they’ve been learning. Mr. Wycoff also spoke about showing empathy and compassion for others when disasters strike and gave great advice for managing nerves: pretend you’re talking to a loved one. We were proud to share our children’s mission statement with him and reflect on our Franciscan connection. Be sure to watch for MAA’s shoutout on WBZ this Saturday morning!
