Kindergarten Book Publishing Party

Our kindergarten students are officially published authors!

After weeks of brainstorming, writing, drawing, and revising, they worked together to create a book about African Animals, inspired by their partnership with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. Throughout the year, students learned about wildlife conservation and met with a Trust representative over Zoom to learn about the rescue and rehabilitation of African animals who were adopted on behalf of MAA by Ms. Maureen Cash.

With the support of their teachers, students refined their ideas and illustrations through multiple drafts before completing their final book. They celebrated with a publishing party, where they shared their masterpiece with families, faculty, and staff and proudly practiced their public speaking skills by reading their individual pages aloud. This is one of our community's favorite traditions!

Thank you to Miss Bevilacqua, Miss Cash, Mrs. Flaherty, and Mrs. Nappi for their guidance, and to Ms. Maureen Cash and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for making this learning experience possible.
